Men's health presents with "two highs and two lows".

Hu Peicheng, Secretary-General and Vice President of the Chinese Sexology Association, stated that Chinese men's health faces a severe situation of "two highs and two lows": high mental stress, high incidence of certain diseases, while their average life expectancy is lower than that of women, and the number of men's rights protection organizations is lower than that of women's rights protection organizations.
Hu Peicheng stated that men's sexual health is currently a cause for concern. Globally, the prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) reaches 20%, and prostate diseases cause significant suffering for most men. Regarding the quality of sexual life, surveys show that men over 45 years old in my country have an average of 3.7 sexual encounters per month, while this figure drops to only 1.7 times for men over 55 years old.
"It's fair to say that men in China face considerable problems with their sexual health," said Hu Peicheng. However, many men still avoid seeking medical help for their health issues, and the fear of discussing sex is still prevalent. He believes that ultimately, promoting men's sexual health requires a change in public attitudes.
Xu Anqi, a researcher at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, stated that surveys show men generally experience high levels of stress. In a survey targeting men, 40% reported experiencing insomnia within the past month, 50% felt physically and mentally exhausted, and another 40% reported becoming irritable and easily angered. A lack of awareness about health checkups is also prominent; 59% of urban respondents admitted to not having a health checkup in the past three years, a figure even higher at 81% among rural respondents. Xu Anqi believes that men's health is not only related to reproduction, but also requires the involvement of sociology, psychology, and even education; men's health needs the joint attention of all sectors of society.
Experts point out that men's health issues are unique, and society should provide supporting services to alleviate men's psychological stress. Products and medicines that maintain men's physiological health should also keep pace with social development.
